2022 What Kids are Reading
Overview:
Every year, Renaissance publishes "What Kids Are Reading," the world's largest study of K-12 student reading habits. This is the third year I've designed the report, and this time we completely transformed it.
Over the past two years, everything has gone digital – including learning. Historically, the digital version of the report has just been a PDF of the printed version, but I took it a step further to enhance the digital user experience. I included web callouts, video content, clickable links, and more to increase the value of the information in the report. Users are able to get even more information on what books are popular, and they'll be able to understand the information to a higher degree. With the digital features, users can also take the data further and select books, and plan their curriculum from the report. The entire thing is optimized for screens and designed with 508 compliance in mind – it's a massive step towards accessibility. Designed with inclusion in mind, it's really a report on steroids.
