Overview:

When the Brain Injury Association of America found themselves developing a brain injury awareness program for schools, they knew they needed a fresh, engaging visual identity for their audience: Kids in kindergarten through fifth-grade. Through a partnership with Toyota, they planned to bring schools in Michigan and Florida important information about brain injury prevention and awareness through discussion of sports activities and vehicle safety.

The final concept for this campaign has character, literally! We created a friendly "Brain Superhero" mascot that makes brain health education accessible and fun for younger students, while giving BIAA a platform to shed light on the seriousness of protecting your head.

The design features a bespectacled brain character with a cape, striking the perfect balance between playful and informative. Clean, sans-serif typography ensures readability across different mediums, while touches of handwritten font add warmth and approachability. And, the design system works seamlessly across various applications, from water bottles to promotional materials.

The approach cleverly turns health education into an engaging adventure, where kids are invited to become "Brain Safety Superheroes" themselves. The concept successfully delivers BIAA's serious message about brain injury prevention while maintaining an inviting, kid-friendly aesthetic that appeals to both children and parents.

Thank you as always to BIAA for allowing us to flex our creative muscles and create a logo and visual identity that will truly resonate with students!
