Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Foundation - Website Redesign
Overview:
We recently wrapped up a new website for the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Foundation, and it was one of those projects where the challenge wasn’t making something new—it was making something clearer.
The Foundation exists as a nonprofit within a much larger organization. From a storytelling and identity standpoint, that’s a tricky place to live. The work is meaningful and deeply impactful, but the previous site didn’t fully help visitors understand where the Foundation fit, what it focused on, or why its role mattered independently.
So instead of leading with who the Foundation is, we led with the strategic shift of what it makes possible.
The impact of the Foundation’s work—its outcomes, its reach, its role in expanding opportunity—became the gateway into the story. Potential donors and partners don’t need to understand the org chart first. They need to understand the difference being made.
The new site is more outcome-driven, more narrative, and more intentional about guiding visitors through the Foundation’s unique position: separate but connected, distinct but aligned.
Design-wise, we focused on clarity, accessibility, and structure. Could we have layered in more visual flourishes? Absolutely. But that wasn’t the point. The point was legibility. Flow. Helping people move through the site without friction and leave with a clear understanding of why the work matters.
These are the kinds of projects we love—the ones where design steps back just enough to let the mission shine through. Explore the new site for yourself at https://laalliancefoundation.org.
