Overview:

Established in 2004, Alliance Foundation has been the philanthropic, awareness, and advocacy arm of the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools—a group of 25 free public high schools and middle schools in the Los Angeles area. The Foundation’s goal has always been to aise resources and visibility for the Alliance network of schools, advocate for policies that improve quality public education for historically underserved youth, and build partnerships to strengthen Alliance schools and the communities that Alliance serves.

So, as the Alliance Foundation approached their 20th anniversary, they wanted to mark the milestone with a new logo that embodied their evolution and the ongoing commitment to their mission. It was also critical for the anniversary branding to align with the organization’s overall branding, which had been launched a few months prior.

We opted for a classic side-by-side anniversary logo—giving the anniversary message a bold look without overtaking the branding. The interplay between the logo elements and the anniversary message creates a harmonious balance, with a vertical line to help the anniversary branding stand alone while still reinforcing the connection to the overall branding. The vibrant green of the logo was used as the anniversary font color for its readibility.
