Overview:

When the Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools Foundation approached us to design the visual identity for their 20th anniversary gala, we knew this event was more than a party—it was a tribute to how the organization began, a reflection of the values they've cultivated over the last two decades, and a rallying point for what's in their next chapter.

The Alliance Foundation supports The Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools, one of the largest and most impactful public charter networks in the country. Twenty years ago, the founders of Alliance schools had a bold vision: to transform public education into one that puts equity, justice, and achievement at its center. They pioneered a school system built on the belief of every child, regardless of zip code, income, or background. Today, Alliance schools serve more than 12,000 students across 26 middle and high schools in Los Angeles, helping to close the opportunity gap with graduation and college acceptance rates that consistently exceed expectations.

For their 20th anniversary gala, our goal was to create a visual system that felt as ambitious and community-rooted as the schools themselves. We designed a cohesive suite of print and event materials, including invitations, a commemorative program, and a celebratory event logo that played homage to Alliance’s identity while infusing it with anniversary-worthy energy.

What we love about this project is how the design didn’t just serve the logistics of the evening—it deepened the emotional resonance of the event itself. Guests walked away not only inspired, but feeling more connected to the mission they came to celebrate.
