Overview:

Remember a few weeks ago, when I said that one of my favorite things is when organizations recognize the importance of branding not only themselves, but their major programs? Well, I’m back with another example of this: Partnership for LA Schools Lundquist Fellows Program.

The program launched in 2010, based on Partnership co-founders’ Richard and Melanie Lundquist’s vision to help identify and support future leaders in the Partnership’s middle schools and high schools. This five-year fellowship program seeks to further develop students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to their schools, education, and communities with an academic scholarship and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The loops around the student in the logo focuses on that five year journey, and the different colors of each loop represents the changes the students will go through depending on who they meet and what they learn. The idea is that the program changes the lives of these student with the doors it opens and the opportunities it creates, and no student is the same at the end of the program as when they started.

I also love the dimension the logo creates, which we designed to really hit the point home of the relationship between the participants, the knowledge they acquire throughout the process, and the passing along of influence from one person to the next. The colors accent the movement in a joyful way as well. (Oh, and did I mention the logo makes for a GREAT pattern?)

A huge thank you to Partnership LA for trusting our team with such an important piece of branding for them. This was a really fun one!
