Happy 50th anniversary to Mission Graduates, an inspirational organization whose mission is to establish an equitable education as a goal for every child in the bay area.

Working with them on this special branding was an honor. As a mom, I like to think that Gavin has a world of opportunities in front of him and that, if he wants it to, that would include a college education. But for many kids, that isn’t the case, whether that be due to language, financial or equity barriers.

The anniversary logo is made up of several elements, playing with the existing branding. The 50 is made up of the icon from the parent branding, a playful element that can be used separately or as part of the overall mark. The integration of a round seal shape creates a unified feel and a sense of community with radiating rings. I created a thicker outer edge to create a stronger boundary and match the font-weight of Graduates. The secondary logo mimics the same design as the primary with Mission Graduates fully integrated. The years bookend the 50 year message breaking the name and tagline apart and creating a visual hierarchy.
