Cynthia Graham Hurd Foundation Website
Overview:
Honoring the memory of Cynthia Graham Hurd, a 31-year veteran of the Charleston County Public Library, who was killed in the Mother Emanuel AME shooting in 2015 the CGHFoundation was born. Malcom Graham, Cynthia’s brother, started the foundation to continue Cynthia’s work and legacy of engaging the community through her love and appreciation for reading and facilitates stronger relationships among and between community members.
Throughout the year CGH Foundation hosts a number of literacy and fund raising events supporting libraries in the Charleston area including the Hurd/St. Andrews Library that bares her name.
The CGH website acts as a hub for these fundraisers and events allowing the public to register and donate directly. The design was simple, Cynthia focused, and dynamic with a number of videos and articles tied to the events.
