Brain Injury Association of American

PROJECT TYPE
Print & Branding

INDUSTRY:
Non-profit

Overview:

I have a soft spot in my heart for pretty much everything I work on, no matter the format—but if you know me, you know I'm an old-school print gal, through and through.

That's why I was so thrilled to design my first-ever issue of The Challenge!, the quarterly magazine published by the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA). The magazine itself has been around for over 30 years, and it's the go-to source for public policy news, research, medical advances, legal and financial issues, and inspiring stories of recovery.

I really enjoyed working with the BIAA team on this one. Not only did I learn a TON about behavior changes after brain injuries (this particular issue's theme) it was also an opportunity for us to streamline the BIAA brand and really apply it throughout the magazine's design. Even though the information changes in these magazines from issue to issue, it's still important for nonprofits like the BIAA to have recognizable branding that can be applied to their future issues.

Thank you to everyone at BIAA for the opportunity to work on this project, and I can't wait to work on the next issue.
