#SeenHeardReflected Logo
Overview:
Three out of four California students, from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade, are students of color, but just one third of their teachers are people of color. As communities continue to grow more diverse, we cannot afford to ignore this shortage of teachers of color any longer. The Education Trust—West is helping make sure California teachers and students of color are #SeenHeardReflected.
This campaign logo visually depicts the vary core of the #SeenHeardReflected issue —Overall the concept of this logo is that behind every successful school are the staff that support that school. Having teachers of color supports not only students of color but also the communities, schools, and families where they teach. The teachers silhouetted in the background visually represents this fact while framing the school in the foreground shows that it’s the most important thing and is the center of everything they do.
