Malcolm Graham for Charlotte City COUNCIL
Overview:
In 2019, Malcolm was elected to the Charlotte City Council after an almost 15-year hiatus, representing District 2. For 2021 Malcolm decided to run again and this time with fresh branding.
Gone are the dated colors representing the democrat party. I went with colors that represented Charlotte and Malcolm’s background (and a nod to his collage days). I chose a handwritten font to resemble authenticity and approachability while keeping with the idea of a signature. The yellow flag graphic adds a pop of color but also balances the logo with some dynamic graphic elements. Overall, the branding represents Malcolm—community and public service minded while also and making an impact.
