Overview:

As a trained print designer, paper is my first love. So when Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin reached out to me looking for a new way to show appreciation to donors while maximizing the financial impact of their contributions, print was my first suggestion.

Taking inspiration from their traditional commemorative gifts, brass-plated wooden plaques personalized with each donor's name, we wanted these certificates to feel memorable and appreciative — just with a more modern touch and much less intensive production process.

With the help of our amazing printer Econoprint, I focused on adding luxurious details that elevated the certificate into something worthy of display, including a custom die cut pocket and lustrous background color.

My favorite detail is the blind embossed tagline on the front page and inner pocket — a tactile touch that reads almost like braille — reminding the receiver that their donation literally helps to give "the gift of sight."
