Overview:

DisruptEd contains original analyses, commentary, and “on the ground” stories of students, parents, educators, and advocates all over the state striving to advance equity in education. It chronicles Education Trust — West’s efforts, as well as their partners who are working toward the shared goal of making educational justice a reality.

While designing the logo for this Blog I wanted to visually represent the breakdown of the education system and integrate a slicing effect reminiscent of the chipping away of old legislation and standards. DisruptEd is all about pulling back the curtain and revealing what it’s like to be a minority, english learner, and/or under funded in the California education space.
